For five consecutive years, Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (“BKL”) ranked among “The Global 200” law firms selected by the ALM Media (“ALM”) which publishes many leading legal publications including the American Lawyer. ALM publishes “The Global 200” every year by aggregating sales revenue and profit per equity partner from law firms around the world.
Since being selected as “The Global 200” in 2017, BKL has continued to be named among the list. According to ALM’s announcement, BKL's sales revenue in 2021 was $336,888,000 (approx. KRW 398.8 billion based on the average exchange rate at the end of last year), which is a 13% increase from the previous year, and its revenue per lawyer (“RPL”) was $579,000 (approx. KRW 700 million). BKL ranked 165th globally, the second-highest among Korean law firms.
BKL's outstanding achievements in promising new industries such as digital finance, artificial intelligence (AI), mobility, and healthcare are grounds for being named among “The Global 200” for five consecutive years. In particular, BKL’s establishment of cross border advice networks in response to the steadily increasing global legal demand has been appraised as one of its biggest strengths.
