We are proud to be the first major law firm in Korea to form the BKL Women’s Professional Alliance, which is sponsored and funded by the firm. It exclusively consists of women who are in charge of organizing and fostering seminars, workshops, and social events to promote and strengthen camaraderie and professionalism among its 150+ members.

Communication We offer direct open channels of communication to our executive management to our professionals and staff alike by hosting meetings for representatives of our many and diverse groups (i.e., young/senior attorneys, foreign attorneys, non-legal professionals, staff/employee representatives).
Mental Health We offer counseling programs for the mental and psychological well-being of our professionals and staff in association with specialized centers nationwide.
Mentorship We care for our young professionals and offer a well-regarded mentorship program where a junior professional is paired up with a senior professional who serves as a role model and mentor.
Togetherness We offer a myriad of social programs and activities for both professionals and staff alike including various social clubs covering sports (baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, hiking); leisure (bowling, billiards, table tennis); and music (singing choir, courses in classical music and guitar), among others, which help foster the fellowship and social bond at BKL.
Family Life We pay particular attention on the work-life balance of our female professionals and staff, by implementing various policies relating to parental/family care leave, maternity leave (including spouse), childcare subsidy, and special accommodations during pregnancies and/or miscarriages.

BKL Dongcheon Foundation
We offer unparalleled opportunities to volunteer through the Dongcheon Foundation, which is a non-profit organization specifically established by BKL to provide pro bono legal help to the needy, poor and disadvantaged. Through the Dongcheon Foundation, our outstanding Pro Bono Committee which is composed of over 200 attorneys make a positive impact on important human rights issues by representing minorities, the indigent and homeless, migrant workers and children, political refugees, and persons with disabilities, among others
