Overview

Sangchul Lee advises and represents clients in the field of criminal matters, response to investigation or criminal litigations, especially in connection with industrial safety, fair trade, corruption, trade secret, intellectual property right, and the environment.

Mr. Lee's extensive experience in prosecutors' trials and government-related litigation came from his 18-year service including as the head of Criminal Trial and Civil Litigation Division of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and head of Litigation Division of the Ministry of Justice. He joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2011 and, as a criminal lawyer, advised and represented clients in criminal cases including corporate criminal matters and handled a number of cases in occupational safety cases.

Advised clients on response to investigation of occupational accidents and represented them in litigations involving Company A's explosion, Company AB's nitrogen leakage, Company AC's explosion, Company AD's nitrogen leakage, AE construction company's explosion, AF shipbuilding company's crane accident, AG shipbuilding company's vessel explosion, Company AH's CO2 leakage, Company AI's conveyor belt accident, and fire at the logistics center in Icheon

Advised clients on response to investigation (represented the filing of a complaint) and represented them in litigations in a number of criminal cases, such as Company B's corruption in redevelopment sites, BA bank's violation of the Banking Act, Company BC's unfair labor practice, toxic humidifier disinfectant, Company BD's complaint for payment fraud, BE network's complaint for breach of trust, BF association's employee fraud, and complaint by BG power technology company and Company BH for infringement of trade secrets
