Overview
Hyunjung Lee is a senior foreign attorney and her main practice areas include international arbitration and international litigation.
Prior to joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC , Ms. Lee worked as legal counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague, the Netherlands, where her main responsibility was acting as tribunal secretary in arbitrations administered by the PCA, assisting the PCA secretary-general in the appointment of arbitrators, and handling matters relating to PCA member states. Prior to that, Ms. Lee was a senior specialist attorney in the Legal Department of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C., where she focused on Latin America's development projects. She also worked at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, a law firm in New York, and Ritch, Heather y Mueller, S.C., a law firm in Mexico City. Ms. Lee received an LL.B. (cum laude) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico in 2005, and an LL.M. (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) from Columbia Law School in New York in 2006. She is admitted to practice in Mexico (2005) and New York (2007). Having been raised in Mexico, she is a native speaker of Spanish. She is also fluent in English and has conversational knowledge of French and Korean.
