Overview
Yonghyun Hwang has handled major criminal cases and compliance matters that attract public attention. His practice focuses on corporate and economic crimes, advising clients on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and responding to their accidents, capital market and financial crimes, and compliance.
Mr. Hwang earned an LL.B. from Seoul National University and completed the 44th training course at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Supreme Court of Korea. He earned an LL.M. from Seoul National University with a thesis titled 'A Study and Research on Judicial Precedents for Joint Principal Offenders of Criminal Negligence.' He also earned a LL.M. from the University of California, Los Angeles in the U.S., and completed his doctoral course in criminal law from Seoul National University. He worked as a judge advocate for public service, Ministry of Justice, and served as a member of the bar examination committee.
