Overview

Wonchul Nam focuses his practice primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, energy and automobiles. Prior to joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2018, Mr. Nam handled a broad range of foreign investment matters at HMP Law. He received his LL.B. degree from Korea University and his J.D. degree from Seoul National University School of Law.

Mr. Nam regularly advises key energy-related public corporations on the relevant laws and regulations including Electric Utility Act and Urban Gas Business Act, and acquisition of licenses and permits. Based on deep understanding which he obtained from such braod range of experence, he also advises on various engery-related regulatory issues and transactions involving the construction and operation of power plant, LNG terminal, the establishment of JV and related disputes. Notably, he currently advises clients within and outside Korea on renewable engery projects in line with Green New Deal trends.
