Overview
Sangchul Kim is a partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC with a particular focus on construction, international arbitration and international litigation. Mr. Kim has many years of experience in large-scale construction projects and accompanying disputes involving project finance, insurance, and main equipment. Furthermore, he has taken the initiative in negotiating contracts and disputes with local parties as counterparties, in particular in USA, UK, the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
Before admission to the Korean Bar in 2012, Mr. Kim received his J.D. from Yonsei University Law School and also holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from KAIST. Prior to joining BKL, he worked at Samsung C&T Corporation for five years as in-house counsel and also worked as a researcher at Telecom SudParis, France. In particular, he has a deep understanding of technical issues related to disputes, and based thereon, he has provided advice on various disputes arising in connection with various types of power plant projects, LNG/LPG storage facility projects, skyscrapers, bridge projects, etc.
