Overview
Hyungsuk Lee focuses his practice on civil, criminal and administrative litigation, arbitration and advice involving construction, real estate development projects, real estate finance, and general finance.
For more than 20 years, as a legal advisor to major domestic construction firms and real estate development firms, Mr. Lee advised and represented clients in key development projects in Korea including Yongsan International Business District, Pangyo Alphadom City and various other reconstruction projects and assisted clients to receive meaningful judgments and arbitral awards. Based on his experience, he gave construction-related lectures at Judicial Research and Training Institute, Korean Bar Association, and Graduate School of Construction Legal Affairs of Kwangwoon University. He also co-authored a series of books as part of online commentary Onju: Act on the Improvement of Urban Areas and Residential Environments, Commentary on Act on Contracts to which the State Is a Party, and Issues of the National Land Planning and Utilization Act. He has pursued vigorous activities in the field of construction and real estate development by serving as a member of the Presidential Committee on Architecture Policy and a non-standing member of the Central Land Tribunal, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Mr. Lee earned his LL.B. from Seoul National University and completed the 21st Judicial Research and Training Institute course. He earned his LL.M. from California Western School of Law and was admitted to the New York Bar.
