Overview
Daeshik Danniel Kwon is the chief attorney of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, Beijing, mainly dealing with legal affairs related to China. Mr. Kwon's practice areas encompass, but not limited to, advice for Korean companies on their investments and M&A in China, and on the overall legal issues that they can face in operating in China. He also advises Chinese companies on their investments into Korea. He vigorously practices in the field of Chinese competition laws and the affairs related to North Korea.
Mr. Kwon has resided in China and provided legal advice to Korean companies longer than any other Korean attorneys currently residing in Beijing. With these efforts recognized, he has also served various roles at several organizations: to name a few, legal advisor for the Korea Chamber of Commerce in China, arbitrator for Qingdao Arbitration Committee, and advisor for Korean Embassy in China, KOTRA Beijing.
Mr. Kwon received LL.B. and LL.M. from Korea University. He then completed the training course at Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2002. His educational background includes, for example, completion of the trade law expert course at Columbia University Law School, completion of the international trade expert course at Seoul National University, language training at Beijing Normal University and Beijing Language and Culture University, and completion of the doctoral course on economic law at Beijing University.
