Overview
Daeshik Danniel Kwon is the head of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC’s Beijing office, specializing in legal matters related to China. Mr. Kwon provides comprehensive legal services, with a focus on advising Korean companies on their investments in China and guiding them through the legal challenges they may face in their operations. He also assists Chinese companies with their investments in Korea. His practice areas include corporate restructuring, antitrust law, and dispute resolution in China.
With extensive experience as a legal advisor to Korean companies in China, Mr. Kwon has resided and worked in the country longer than any other Korean attorney. His contributions have earned him recognition, and he presently serves as a legal advisor to the Korean Embassy in China, the Korean Chamber of Commerce in China, and as an arbitrator for the Qingdao Arbitration Commission. Additionally, he is an educational mentor for KIC China.
Mr. Kwon holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. from Korea University and completed his legal training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2002. His academic credentials also include specialized coursework, such as the trade law expert program at Columbia University Law School, the international trade expert course at Seoul National University, and language training at both Beijing Normal University and Beijing Language and Culture University. He has also completed the doctoral program in economic law at Peking University.
