Overview
Jaeyong Jeong provides legal services mainly in corporate legal practices including M&A, corporate governance, private equity investment, foreign investment, foreign investment, etc., and accumulated wide and rich experience from various work including in-bound/out-bound investment, conversion into holding company, etc.
Mr. Jeong graduated Seoul National University (LL.B.) and the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea. Since then, he served as a judge advocate for public service at the International Legal Affairs Division, Ministry of Justice before joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2016. He has experience of various state litigations including civil and administrative cases, etc. and investor-state litigation (ISD) cases while serving as a judge advocate for public service.
Since joining BKL, Mr. Jeong has been involved in a lot of various and material M&A transactions including Samsung Electronics' spin-off and sale of printing solutions unit, CJ Cheiljedang's acquisition of Selecta of Brazil, Unilever's acquisition of Carver Korea, Bluehole's (currently Krafton) investment promotion, Affinity's acquisition of Serveone, LG Uplus' acquisition of CJ Hello, etc., and obtained in-depth understanding and expertise in various business fields such as manufacturing, service, and IT-related business.
