Overview

Soojin Lee is an attorney of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC whose practice focuses on fair trade, technology·media&telecom, general corporate affairs, and China-related affairs.

Ms. Lee graduated summa cum laude from Seoul National University and acquired a J.D. degree in the law school of the same university before joining the BKL.

Ms. Lee has been vigorously working in the fields related to AI, platforms, economic laws and China by, for example, serving as an advisor at the National Commission for Improvement of AI-Related Legal System, a researcher at the SNU AI Policy Initiative and a contributor for academic journals and delivering numerous lectures and presentations on those fields. She has also been dispatched to platform companies based on her pertinent expertise, and she possesses an extensive grasp of practical issues of the platform industry. Previously, she worked at large law firms in China, such as King & Wood Mallesons (金杜) and Zhong Lun (中伦), and based on such deep understanding of other cultures and foreign language skills, she has consistently engaged in pro bono legal services for, among others, migrant workers and North Korea. She was selected as the Lawyer of the Year by an organization at its first lawyer award ceremony.
