Overview

Ugu Choi is a partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, and his practice focuses on corporate restructuring, M&A, securities and finance, and complex litigation.

Since joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Choi advised clients on bankruptcy law matters, including cross-border insolvency issues, corporate rehabilitation, and private work-out arrangements. Mr. Choi also represented major domestic and multinational entities in corporate disputes, securities and finance litigations as well as cross-border transactions. Mr. Choi obtained his J.D. from Korea University School of Law in 2012 and was admitted to the Korean bar in the same year. Before joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, he worked as a judge advocate in the Korean Army. In 2022, Mr. Choi earned an LL.M from New York University School of Law and was admitted to the New York Bar.
