Jongmin An mainly practices in the areas of insurance, financial regulation, and marine affairs. Since joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2008, Mr. An has advised the Financial Supervisory Service, insurance companies, and banks on insurance regulations and represented clients in various insurance claim suits.

For instance, in an insurance claim suit in respect of cold warehouse fire accident in Icheon, Mr. An represented the insurance company and won a favorable judgment that the insurance company had no obligation to pay insurance proceeds since the policyholder violated his/her notice obligation. In addition, he advised on the legality and appropriateness of various standard terms, including standard terms of auto insurance and standard terms of retirement pension business.

After completing the Judicial Research and Training Institute course, Mr. An served as a judge advocate for three years. He earned an LL.M. from University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. He currently is an insurance expert adviser of the Consumer Dispute Settlement Committee, Korea Consumer Agency.
