Overview

Youngsoo Ahn focuses his practice on advising clients regarding hostile mergers and acquisitions, shareholders' meeting and meetings of the board of directors, and on handling disputes concerning management rights, stock ownership and equity investment. Mr. Ahn has continued to handle such cases since 1998 at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC. Key cases he successfully dealt with include: SK Group's defense against Sovereign Global, Hyundai Merchant Marine's defense against KCC, hostile takeover of Shinho Paper, Hyundai Heavy Industries' acquisition of management right of Hyundai Oilbank, and dispute among Himart shareholders.

Mr. Ahn represented numerous listed or unlisted companies with fervor and creativity, thus setting many new precedents, as he handled many disputes concerning company law (e.g. commercial preliminary injunction case and non-contentious litigation case). He is recognized as one of the most experienced lawyers in this area.
