Overview
Wookrae Lee is the head of the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC and advises multinational clients doing business in Korea on legal issues affecting the workplace, including management rights disputes, industrial accidents, employee discipline and dismissals, employment contracts, workforce reductions, unions and collective bargaining negotiations, labor-related issues in M&A, and other human resources issues.
Mr. Lee also has vast experience in civil and administrative litigation, having successfully defended large Korean and foreign multinational corporations across a wide range of industries in disputes relating to unfair labor practices, unfair dismissals, labor relations, ordinary wages, and labor unions, just to name a few.
Prior to joining BKL in 2014, Mr. Lee served as a judge of several district courts and worked as a labor and employment attorney at Kim & Chang. He earned an LL.B. from Seoul National University and also earned an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
