Overview
Yongbok Cho mainly engages in duties relating to regulation and legislation based on his expertise built while working for the standing committees, the Legislative Research Service and the Budget Office of the National Assembly for 30 years.
Mr. Cho graduated from Korea University (B.A. in Public Administration) and Kyung Hee University (LL.M.) and passed the National Higher Civil Service Examination on Legislative in 1992. He has a high level of expertise and an extensive knowledge in the entire legislation process, finance and financial affairs obtained by conducting a review of various bills and budget settlement at standing committees of the National Assembly, including National Policy Committee, which takes charge of the matters under the jurisdiction of the Financial Services Commission, the Financial Supervisory Service and the Fair Trade Commission, etc., the Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Committee, the Administrative Committee and the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, and the National Assembly Budget Office, which takes charge of the matters under the jurisdiction of all the government ministries and public institutions. In addition, he served as head of the General Affairs Department and the Office of Planning & Coordination, and deputy secretary-general at the National Assembly Secretariat, and has a comprehensive knowledge of the overall affairs of the National Assembly.
Mr. Cho worked at the National Assembly for 30 years, including his service at the Ministry of Justice, and has been providing advice on the overall legislation process and various legal issues since joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2022.
