Junseok Ko is a patent attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee IP and is a member of the trial/litigation team in the field of mechanical engineering. He joined the firm in 2022 after serving at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) for over 20 years.

Mr. Ko earned his B.A. and M.A. in Mechanical Engineering at Kyungpook National University and joined KIPO in 1998. He built his extensive career in patent examination, trial and litigation by serving as the chief of various examination divisions including the Precision Components Examination Division and Measuring Technology Examination Division at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), as a presiding trial judge at the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB), and also as a technical examiner at the Korean Patent Court.

His experience is not limited to the field of patent only but goes beyond and further. While dispatched as a director of Korea Plus in Invest India for three years between 2016 and 2019, he worked on strengthening the economic cooperation between Korea and India by assisting Korean corporations to enter into the Indian market.
