Jae Hee Kim's main practice areas include international arbitration & litigation, maritime, finance and insurance.

Ms. Kim earned B.A. in economics from Korea University and J.D. (cum laude) from Korea University School of Law, and then was admitted to the Korean Bar in 2017. Prior to joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2022, she worked at Law Offices Moon & Song where she handled disputes concerning transportation and charter contracts, ship accidents, and P&I insurance.

Advised POSCO's affiliates and other large trading companies on, and managed, their disputes over their international goods sales contracts, transportation contracts, and charter contracts, etc
Advised a Korean offshore wind power company on the regulations governing marine licenses and permits
Frequently advised Korean maritime shipping companies with mid-to-large container carriers, bulk carriers and LNG carriers on their legal issues
Advised and represented clients in a large number of arbitrations, litigations and liability limitation proceedings concerning cargo damage accidents that had occurred during maritime, multimodal or air transport
Numerously advised a Korean insurer on the regulatory issues under, among others, the Insurance Business Act and the Act on the Protection of Financial Consumers and on the matters concerning, particularly, the export insurance of Korea Export Insurance Corporation, and cross-border insurance transactions

Represented Polaris Shipping before a criminal court and the Korea Maritime Safety Tribunal with regard to the sinking accident of a very large ore carrier
Advised a KEPCO-affiliated power plant company on, and managed, its disputes over the matters concerning a ship collision accident that had occurred at its port, including the provisional seizure of the ship involved
