Overview

Jaegyu Yoo handles a wide range of legal matters related to intellectual property litigation, trade secret and technology disputes, intellectual property rights management, strategic advisory services, artificial intelligence, media, e-commerce and gaming. In particular, he focuses his practice on technology-related disputes involving IT companies and legal issues arising in the artificial intelligence and content industries, while also providing legal advisory services to various startups.

Mr. Yoo graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and later graduated from Yonsei University Law School. He obtained an LL.M. from Duke University School of Law, and worked as a visiting attorney at Fish & Richardson P.C., where he gained hands-on experience in patent litigation and ITC disputes related to IT and semiconductor technologies. Mr. Yoo worked as a reporter at the Report Headquarters of SBS for over five years, and leveraging his experience as a reporter, he contributed biweekly articles on intellectual property and various legal issues to Legal Prism, a column of Weekly Kyunghyang. He was also seconded to the Legal Affairs Office of the Organizing Committee for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Paralympics, where he provided a wide range of legal advisory services to support the successful hosting of both events. In addition, he is actively engaged in pro bono activities for persons with disabilities, refugees, and migrant workers.
