Overview
Sukchun Kwon advises mainly on matters related to regulations, IT and ICT, compliance management and corruption prevention, and constitutional and administrative litigations.
Mr. Kwon has broad experience in collecting and writing news, as he, after beginning his career as a journalist in 1990, had gone through various news reporting departments, such as the city desk, politics desk, and business desk. Particularly, thanks to his experience in reporting on investigations, trials, and judgments, he has deep understanding of the judicial system—based on which he has not only constantly written articles and books about the court and prosecution, but also actively participated in the research on policies related to, among others, the trial system, sentencing criteria, and judiciary personnel administration.
Moving back onto his journalist career, while serving as the city desk editor and an editorialist at JoongAng Ilbo, Mr. Kwon serialized the column titled, “Suk Chun Kwon's Issue at the Moment,” for seven years. Moreover, while serving as the news reporting supervisor (the news division chief) and the newsroom chief at JTBC, he led the news gathering and reporting processes. This work experience built in the newspaper and broadcasting fields now enables him to differentiate his consulting services.
Mr. Kwon graduated from the Department of Law of Seoul National University and earned a master's degree in Science of Public Administration from HUFS Graduate School of Politics, Government, and Communication. He joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2021.
