Overview
Kil-Chae Park entered the public office by public competition in 1995 at a deputy-director level, and served at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Korean Intellectual Property Office (as an examiner of the Organic Chemistry Examination Division, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Examination Division, and Biotechnology Examination Division, as a Director of the Fine Chemistry Examination Division, Environment and Energy Examination Division, Housing Technology Examination Division), IP Tribunal (Advisory Officer, Litigation Representative for KIPO, Re-examiner), Supreme Court (Patent Advisor), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (diplomat), etc. Mr. Park is an expert who handled more than 400 patent trials and litigation cases, and currently specializes in litigation in the fields of chemical engineering, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, and conducts research, analysis and consultations regarding IP.
Mr. Park graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering (Bachelor's degree) at Yonsei University, completed Law School (Master/Doctoral) at Chungnam National University, trained at Haseltine Lake & Law firm, Bristol, UK, and lectured at Seoul National University, Yonsei University, the Intellectual Property Training Institute, and the Invention Promotion Association. He is a board member of the Trade Committee (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy), Appeal Committee (Central Prosecutor's Office), the Small and Medium Business Dispute Mediation Committee (the Ministry of Small and Medium Business), and the Korean Patent Law Association.
Mr. Park processed more than 400 cases including the secondary battery case of company L, anode material case of company E, autoimmune vaccine case of company S, anticancer protein vaccine case of company C, apixaban case of company H, anti-rust composition case of company S, abrasives case of company C, and chizochitrium case of company C. In addition, he has authored a few books and about 30 academic papers on patent law issues.
