Overview
Hyewon Shin mainly advises on the disputes over infringement of intellectual property rights and the transactions of intellectual property rights, domestic and international lawsuits, negotiation strategies, and management of intellectual property rights and represents clients in related cases.
Ms. Shin is experienced in representing clients in cases involving intellectual property issues such as trademark, copyright, domain, unfair competition, patent, intellectual property licensing, arguing cases in disputes and devising strategies for the potential risks. In addition, among others, she has been advising clients on intellectual property disputes encompassing methods throughout civil, criminal and administrative proceedings, and carrying out a number of negotiations in intellectual property transactions. As the market is consistently changing and issues involving trademark, copyright, and unfair competition are becoming more complex, Ms. Shin advises companies on such unprecedented issues and arguing cases in disputes to present strategies that meet the clients' needs.
Based on her fluent foreign language skills, Ms. Shin has advised numerous multinational companies conducting business in Korea in various cases, cooperating with foreign law firms in international transactions and negotiations. Meanwhile, she is also reviewing and analyzing various dispute risks that Korean companies might face when expanding overseas, and representing the companies in the relevant issues.
