Overview
Changwan Han provides various legal services in the fields of international investment dispute, international arbitration, international litigation, maritime and aerospace & transportation.
From 2018 to 2023, Mr. Han worked as director of the International Legal Affairs Division and director of International Dispute Settlement Division at the Ministry of Justice, dealing with matters related to international investment dispute, international arbitration, investment and trade agreement, and international commercial law. Earlier in his career, he joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2009 and worked in various cases, including international transaction, international litigation, and maritime and air transport after being discharged from his military service as a judge advocate.
Mr. Han was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2017 and to the Korean Bar in 2006. He earned an Ph.D. from Seoul National University in 2022, an LL.M from Chicago Law School in 2016, and an LL.B from Korea Maritime & Ocean University in 2004.
