概要
Catherine Eunkyeong Lee is a partner of Bae, Kim & Lee IP and also leads the chemical and pharmaceutical practice team. Catherine has extensive experience in all aspects of patent law, including patent procurement, portfolio management, patent litigation, pre-litigation analysis and strategy counseling in the fields of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biotechnology.
She is a registered patent attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing domestic and international clients in inter-partes and ex parte matters before the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). Over the years, she has handled many litigation cases before the Korean Courts as a lead or supporting counsel for clients in various technical areas, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, food products and medical devices.
She frequently holds lectures for researchers and industry IP managers and is also a well-regarded adjunct professor at KAIST (MIP Program). She is a Vice President of APAA (Asian Patent Attorneys Association) Korea, a Co-Chair of Patent Committee of APAA and a director of Licensing Executive Society Korea (LESK). Catherine also served as the President of Korea Women Patent Attorneys Association and the Vice President of Korean Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA). Further, she served on many committees dealing with IP protection policies of KIPO, including the Expert Committee of Protection at Presidential Council on Intellectual Property, Korea Electronics Association (KEA), Korea Trade Commission and Korea Institute of Intellectual Property (KIIP).
