Ugu Choi is a partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, and his practice focuses on financial regulation, capital market transactions, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and complex litigation.

Since joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Choi advised international clients on financial regulation in cross-border deals. He has also advised clients on bankruptcy law matters, including cross-border insolvency issues, corporate rehabilitation, and private work-out arrangements. Additionally, Mr. Choi has represented major domestic and multinational entities in corporate disputes, securities and finance litigations, as well as cross-border transactions.

Mr. Choi obtained his J.D. from Korea University School of Law in 2012 and was admitted to the Korean bar in the same year. Before joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, he worked as a judge advocate in the Korean Army. In 2022, Mr. Choi earned an LL.M. from New York University School of Law and was admitted to the New York Bar.
