Su Gu Kang is a partner at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC. Mr. Kang is an expert in Vietnam/Southeast Asia, who is performing various tasks related to Vietnam/Southeast Asia, including overseas investment, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), real estate development projects, various financial transactions, tasks related to authorizations and permits, and general advice for companies.

Since 2007, Mr. Kang’s practice has been focusing on advising domestic companies on their businesses in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. In particular, he has been working at local offices for a long time, including Hanoi in Vietnam, Yangon in Myanmar and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and thus he is an expert in Vietnam/Southeast Asia who is well-versed in local practices. Mr. Kang earned a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University and a LL.M. in Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany. He is currently serving as a member of the Ministry of Justice’s legal advisory panel for SMEs advancing into overseas markets, a member of the steering committee of the Korea Investors’ Society in HCMC, and the vice president of the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KOCHAM).
