In December 1986, a joint law firm, run by In Sub Kim, Jae Shik Lee and Eui-in Hwang, was expanded and newly established as a law firm Bae, Kim & Lee (later, the firm was converted to a limited liability company) with the participation of other two foundation attorneys, Myungin Bae and Jung-Hoon Lee. Since he has handled corporate civil and criminal litigation, rehabilitations and restructuring, as well as advising and representing clients in the area of intellectual property.
Starting to focus his practice on intellectual property matters in 2000, he practiced intellectual property law while running Bae, Kim & Lee IP at the same time. As a civilian member of the Presidential Council on Intellectual Property directly responsible to the President between 2011 and July 2013, he was engaged in the establishment and evaluation of overall intellectual property policies (including creation, protection, and utilization of intellectual property rights).
