Seungsup Lee's practice focuses on providing criminal advice and handling lawsuits in connection with trade secret, intellectual property right, corruption (including election and labor), fair trade, and the environment.

Based on about 20-year work experience in special investigation—at the National Intelligence Service, the Constitutional Court of Korea (judicial researcher), the Ministry of Justice (director of Legal Profession Policy Division), the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (senior prosecutor of Hi-tech Crime Investigation Bureau), etc.—Mr. Lee has been handling major criminal cases since joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2006. In a recent case in which the Korean branch of a leading foreign fabric maker had sued a famous Korean maker for infringing its trade secret, he successfully helped his client receive a non-prosecution disposition.

Mr. Lee was ranked as one of the “12 best criminal lawyers” in 2007 by the representatives of 20 best law firms, and as the best criminal lawyer in 2009 and 2014 by the Korea Economic Daily and Chosun Ilbo, respectively. Further, he was also selected as Leading Individual in the white collar crime category by Chambers Asia-Pacific in 2019-2020.
