Seong-Uk Yang mainly undertakes patent work in the field of machinery.

He is in charge of drafting patent specifications, responding to office actions, third party submission, oppositions, trials, appeals before the Patent Court. He is frequently involved in litigation matters such as invalidation and scope confirmation trials as well as patent infringement trials. His main expertise is particularly in automobiles, elevators, semiconductor manufacturing apparatus, air conditioners, and medical equipment, but he has recently broadened his expertise to the technical field of renewable energy.

Mr. Yang graduated from Korea University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, studied at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1996, and received a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Korea University in 1997.
