介绍

Richard Shin, Ph.D. has extensive experience in researching, analyzing, and consulting on antitrust, competition, and regulatory issues. Dr. Shin's experience at both antitrust agencies in the United States, Economic Analysis Group of the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Economics at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, as well as at major economic consulting firms in the United States, brings quality economic analysis as required by clients. This experience brings direct understanding of the economists' role at US antitrust agencies and other regulatory agencies as well as valuable economic analysis in any potential matters before regulatory agencies.

In the private sector, Dr. Shin has continued to apply his theoretical and quantitative skills to the analysis of mergers, abuse of dominance, and price-fixing in various industries. He has expanded his expertise to include damage estimation in class action litigation, patent infringement litigation and in complex commercial or regulatory disputes, including False Claims Act cases in the US.

Dr. Shin has also submitted expert reports and testified before the Korea Fair Trade Commission on various matters involving competition issues including mergers and collusion cases.
