Office Introduction
Based on its experience in advising on investment in Indonesia and resolution of disputes related thereto, BKL has since 2018 operated its office at a leading Indonesian law firm, Makarim & Taira. S.
Under this circumstance, BKL and Makarim & Taira. S have not only forged a close, cooperative relationship by deploying their respective attorneys to the other, but have also jointly performed a wide range of legal advisory services—thanks to which BKL is capable of providing its clients intending to carry forward any project in Indonesia with detailed and in-depth legal advice. Furthermore, in performing such legal advisory services, BKL can also come up with legal advice customized to the nature of the project or dispute concerned, because it has worked with a variety of local law firms, each equipped with a different expertise.
Currently, BKL has arranged its Indonesia Office to be stationed by Foreign Attorney Ujin Ahn, who responds to local requests for legal advice in a swift and efficient manner by using his experience in handling a number of cases concerning Southeast Asian laws for no less than 10 years. Also, BKL has operated its Indonesia Practice Group under the leadership of Attorney Eric Yang, whose experience in handling cases concerning Southeast Asian laws reaches at least 15 years, which is also comprised of Attorneys Yongman Bae and Junghyun Bhan, and Foreign Attorneys Cheolhyo Ahn and George Lee, each having extensive experience in handling cases concerning Southeast Asian laws—thanks to which BKL’s Indonesia Practice Group has been able to ensure that the legal services for each of its clients should comprehensively take into consideration all of the relevant case’s characteristics and issues and be systematically correlated accordingly.
