Heedong Lee's practice focuses on representation in criminal investigations and litigation, advisory services on employment and labor disputes, corporate compliance, and inter-corporate disputes. His principal areas of practice include serious industrial accidents and occupational safety, employment and labor, unfair trading practices involving stocks and virtual assets, fair trade, and technology leakage.
Mr. Lee graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and began his legal career as a public prosecutor. During his prosecutorial career, he gained extensive investigative experience in the Public Security Divisions of the Ulsan District Prosecutors' Office, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, and the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office. Following his promotion to chief Prosecutor, he served as chief of the Public Security Division at the Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office and the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, director of the Election Investigation Support Division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and chief of the Public Investigation Division I at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. Prior to leaving the Prosecution Service, he served as director General for Public Investigation Planning at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, where he supervised investigations into a wide range of matters, including serious industrial accidents, violations of the Act on the Protection, etc. of Temporary Agency Workers, unfair labor practices and other labor-related offenses, as well as cases involving military secrets. He later served as First Deputy chief Prosecutor (concurrently acting as Second Deputy chief Prosecutor) at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, which has primary jurisdiction over financial crimes, where he investigated cases involving unfair trading practices related to stocks and virtual assets, as well as criminal disputes between corporations.
