소개

Myong O Yoon is an engineer who graduated from the Department of Architecture at Seoul National University and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo for his research on building fire. As a professor at Myongji University and the University of Seoul, he has led education and research in fire and disaster safety both domestically and internationally, and played an active role in advancing national policy frameworks in these fields. He is regarded as Korea's leading authority in this domain.

Mr. Yoon has developed forward-looking fire and disaster safety strategies for many of Korea's most ambitious urban spaces, including Incheon Airport, the World Cup Main Stadium, and Lotte World Tower.

With the establishment of the Disaster Strategy Research Institute, Mr. Yoon sees his role as identifying solutions to safety challenges posed by climate change-induced disaster risks, by engaging with top experts across legal, scientific, and technological disciplines.
