Daae Kim represents clients on a variety of international commercial and investment treaty dispute. Ms. Kim has acted as counsel in arbitrations conducted under the auspices of various institutions, including the ICC, SIAC, VIAC, as well as ad hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL arbitration rules. Ms. Kim has also acted as counsel in an investment treaty arbitrations. In addition to her international arbitration work, Ms. Kim regularly advises clients in public international law an international trade law matters.
Prior to joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (BKL), Ms. Kim handled matters regarding international arbitration and international litigation at Peter & Kim. Ms. Kim’s previous legal experiences also include working as a legal intern at the ICSID Secretariat in Washington D.C. and at Shearman & Sterling LLP where she assisted International Arbitration team in Singapore, and working as an intern to The Honorable Charles N. Brower, an independent arbitrator.
After graduating from Sogang University (B.A.) in 2009, Ms. Kim engaged in international human rights-related activities in several public interest organizations, including Dongcheon Foundation established by BKL. Subsequently, she pursued legal studies in the U.S. and earned her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2018.
