Overview
Eyu Sup Cho engages in regulatory and legislative response matters, drawing on his extensive experience and expertise gained from serving on key economy-related standing committees, such as the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, Strategy and Finance Committee, and National Policy Committee, as well as his role as the chief of the National Assembly Budget Office.
Mr. Cho graduated from the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy and the Graduate School of Economy at Sogang University, as well as from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. After passing the 12th National Higher Civil Service Examination on Legislative Affairs in 1994, he gained extensive experience in major standing committees such as the Special Committee on Budget & Accounts, the Strategy and Finance Committee, the National Policy Committee, the Security and Public Administration Committee, and the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee. He has also held key positions, including chief of the National Assembly Budget Office, as well as head of the Estimates and Tax Analysis Department and Tax Analysis Counsel at the National Assembly Budget Office, and Planning and Budget officer at the National Assembly Secretariat. He is recognized as an expert in tax and finance within the National Assembly.
After concluding his 30-year public service career as the chief of the National Assembly Budget Office, Mr. Cho joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC in 2024, where he now provides advice on legislative and regulatory matters.
