Office Introduction
BKL’s Beijing office as the first Korean law firm established in the capital city of China began its business in October 2004 upon obtaining the approval of the Chinese government. Daeshik Danniel Kwon who heads BKL’s Beijing office has a variety of work experience in BKL’s headquarters in Seoul and 18 years of experience in BKL’s Beijing office, and has been providing legal services on matters related to China in various fields including China-related investment, M&A, restructuring, antitrust law, and general corporate. In addition, BKL’s Beijing office also includes Minseok Yang, and Chinese foreign attorneys Yu Jin, Jingnan Jin, and Haoran Jin (Chinese) with focus of their practice on M&A, exit, dispute resolution, antitrust matters, financial investments, IP matters, and negotiations with Chinese government agencies. In particular, BKL’s Beijing Office provides optimal legal services to Korean companies in large-scale investment projects in China by utilizing its extensive experience and network of contacts, and has achieved exceptional results in negotiating terms and conditions of investment with the Chinese government and in obtaining licenses and deregulation from various competent authorities such as the Ministry of Commerce, the NDRC, the CSRC, and the CBRC. In addition, BKL’s Beijing Office is also active in public interest legal support for public organizations such as the Korean Embassy in China, KOTRA, the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Small and Medium Business Administration.
