Office Introduction
The Beijing office of BKL opened in October 2004*, representing the first time a Korean law firm opened an office in Beijing. The Beijing team works closely with other attorneys throughout the region as well as colleagues in our Shanghai and Seoul office, to advise Korean and Asian companies conducting business in China and neighboring countries on a variety of matters such as corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, real estate development, securities and anti-dumping, as well as advise PRC clients desiring to invest or conduct other business in Korea. Consistent with BKL's belief in teamwork and collaborative efforts, teams work across various offices as “one-firm” and the full resources of the Seoul office are available for any matters primarily held by the Beijing office.
The Beijing office is comprised of Korean and PRC attorneys, and includes attorneys who are fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin and have received Korean, US or PRC legal education and training.
*An official license to operate as a foreign law firm in the People’s Republic of China (the PRC) was issued.
