Overview
Woosung Jang completed the training course of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Supreme Court of Korea in 2005 and was appointed as superintendent of the Korean National Police Agency in the same year. He then served with the Korean National Police Agency for approximately 17 years, beginning as head of the Investigation Division at Daegu Dalseo Police Station and subsequently serving as head of the Economic Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, head of the Violent Crimes Section of the Regional Investigation Unit, head of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency, head of the Investigation Division of the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency, Chief of Siheung Police Station, head of the Cyber Investigation Division of the Korean National Police Agency, chief of Seongbuk Police Station, and finally head of the Foreign Affairs Investigation Division of the Korean National Police Agency. Mr. Jang served as an attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC from December 2020 to June 2025. From June 19, 2025 to June 30, 2026, he was seconded to the Special Counsel Team investigating insurrection and foreign aggression cases, where he served as an assistant special counsel.
