Overview

Soo Jung Hong's practice focuses on financial regulation, licensing and approvals of financial institutions, inspections of financial institutions and capital market investigation response, accounting audit response, digital finance, international arbitration, and financial-related administrative litigation.

After graduating from the Department of Private Law at Seoul National University and completing the training course at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Ms. Hong began her legal career at Shin & Kim LLC in 2004, gaining extensive experience in securitization, structured finance, and project finance. In particular, since 2012, while serving as the Legal Officer for Regulatory Reform and the Head of the Deliberation Support Team at the Financial Services Commission, she oversaw agendas for the Cabinet Meeting, the Financial Services Commission, and the Securities and Futures Commission, and managed the enactment and amendment of financial laws, sanctions for violations of financial regulations, legal interpretations, international arbitrations involving financial authorities, and financial-related administrative litigation. She has strong expertise in financial regulation and financial policy.
