Wonil Kang is a legal advisor on criminal matters at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, focusing his practice mainly on various criminal defense advisory and representation services including corporate and general criminal cases.
Mr. Kang served as a prosecutor for 23 years at various posts, including a) senior prosecutor at Daegu District Prosecutors' Office, b) deputy chief prosecutor at Seoul District Prosecutors' Office, c) vice president of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, d) chief prosecutor at Chuncheon District Prosecutors' Office, e) chief prosecutor at Criminal Division II and Anti-corruption Department of Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and (f) chief prosecutor at Incheon District Prosecutors' Office. Since 1991, he has practiced as an attorney, handling general civil cases as well as criminal cases on trade secret, finance, and corporate crimes. Mr. Kang has also served the public in various roles, including the commissioner of the Ombudsman of Korea and the special prosecutor to investigate the alleged orchestration of a labor-union strike at Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation.
