Overview
Kitae Hong was appointed as a judge in 1991 and served as a judge and research judge at courts of various levels. After retiring as a presiding judge of the Seoul High Court in 2013, Mr. Hong joined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC and handled various important litigation cases for 7 years. In 2020, he was appointed as the president of the Judicial Policy Research Institute under the Supreme Court of Korea and contributed to research on the judicial system and trial system and improvement of trial practice for three years. Thereafter, in 2023, he rejoined Bae, Kim & Lee LLC.
Based on rich knowledge and experience as a judge and knowledge of trends in judicial practice and trials acquired as the president of the Judicial Policy Research Institute, Mr. Hong focuses on general civil and criminal cases as well as financial, construction, commercial, constitutional, administrative, and environmental litigation.
