Attorney Jihyun KIM is a partner in Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (BKL). She specializes in advising and representing clients in the area of intellectual property law. Recently, her legal practice focuses on consultation and compliance services related to trade secret protection, civil/criminal disputes involving trade secret, consultation and litigation services related to trademark and copyright, and matters related to personal information protection.
She studied law at Ewha Womans University. After completing the 26th Judicial Research and Training Institute course, she started her career as a judge with Daejun District Court. She joined the Intellectual Property Team in BKL in 2000. She earned an LL.M. degree from U.C. Berkeley School of Law and studied at Duke University School of Law.
As a female expert in the area of intellectual property law, she has actively participated in activities of various commissions and major organizations. She always tries hard to provide clients with more professional and systematic legal services. For example, she played a major role in holding the seminars on trade secret disputes and compliance (in 2011 and 2013) and the seminar on personal information protection (in 2011) for major clients, and received fervent responses from the clients. She gave lectures on the practice of trade secret and trademark at Yonsei University Graduate School of Law, on preparing legal documents at Ewha Womans University Law School, and on the practice of the privacy law at LAWnB.
