Alex Lee is a foreign attorney with principal areas of practice including project finance, general banking, and mergers and acquisitions. He has significant experience across a number of jurisdictions including London, New York and Seoul. During the course of his practice, he has focused on counseling sponsors, funds, government agencies and debt providers on project, and infrastructure procurements and financings, as well as advising companies on general corporate and banking related matters.
Prior to joining Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, Alex was a foreign attorney at Shin & Kim, a trainee solicitor and associate in the London and New York offices of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, respectively, an associate at Kirkland & Ellis in London and an associate at Allen & Overy in New York. He also has previous experience as a business law editor at Thomson Reuters in Washington D.C., where he authored numerous articles related to transactional practice issues and corporate governance matters for the Reuters Financial Regulatory Forum, and as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York.
Alex received his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, his Graduate Diploma in Law and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP University Law School, his MSc. from Oxford University and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania. Alex is admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and as an Attorney and Counselor at Law in the State of New York.
