In contrast, BKL’s IP group has provided one-stop, comprehensive services in all IP matters, including not only patent application preparation and applications, but also representing clients in Korean Intellectual Property Office (“KIPO”) Tribunal proceedings and Patent Court lawsuits, representing clients in licensing negotiations, technical transfers, and other related matters.

For over twenty years, our intellectual property group has provided clients with exceptional service in the areas of consulting, information search, and application and registration procedures for intellectual property rights. To provide the most sound and efficient client service, BKL’s IP group has developed an intensive review system that provides high quality management of patent and trademark applications, overseen by a Quality Control Department that supervises the system’s application. The system has led to the group’s high regard from clients, especially for overseas matter that mandate accurate translations of patent or trade mark claims. The IP team has also developed an internal computer database system consisting of state of the art hardware and software, which gives the group a singular means of controlling the substantive contents and the procedural due dates.

On the litigation front, our group consistently contributes to the protection of its clients interests by successfully resolving legal disputes in civil and criminal proceedings involving infringement of intellectual property rights. Likewise, our group advances the interests of our clients in the execution of license agreements and the establishment and management of technical alliances with venture companies with promising technologies.
